What began as a group of friends chasing the same groove became something bigger — a community built on movement, mentorship, and mutual respect.
The beginning
It all started with a circle of friends in 2022.
LZB Locking grew out of something simple — a group of friends who wanted to learn how to dance. Blue, the founder, started running workshops and classes, and what began as casual sessions quickly became a tight-knit community united by locking.
When Blue returned home to Taiwan in May 2023, Funky Jessy stepped up to carry the torch — growing the community, expanding its reach, and keeping the energy alive.

When Blue returned to Taiwan, Funky Jessy didn't let the momentum fade. She stepped in, kept the classes running, and set her sights on growing the community even further.
Officially established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
LZB Locking became a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit — a major milestone that cements our commitment to serving the community and preserving the culture for the long run.
Still growing, still grooving
Today LZB Locking serves dancers young and experienced alike — offering education, classes, and competition opportunities that sharpen skills and deepen understanding of street dance culture.
